  • New York City Department of Education policies and programs

The Translation and Interpretation Unit helps the NYC Department of Education (NYCDOE) work with families who need help communicating in English.   Your school offers free interpretation and translation services in Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, French, Haitian Creole, Korean, Russian, Spanish, and Urdu.  If you need help in one of these languages, ask your school’s principal or parent coordinator.
