Saturday, October 21st: Join the PA Garden Committee to help plant Spring daffodil bulbs and more!

Families will also have the opportunity to meet “Farmer Jenn” Brewin of Nature Based NY and learn about the outdoor garden programs planned for the preK, Kindergarten, and 1st grade classes this year.  And don’t forget our garden’s open hour from 2:30-3:30pm this Friday, October 20th.  The activity will be painting handprints onto the five raised planters.  Join us!

Miss Chocolate 2017 Fall Catalog Fundraising Drive Launched!

Dear Parents, Students, Faculty, and Friends,

Today is the start of our PA’s annual Fall Catalog Fundraiser.  All proceeds will be used for various projects and activities in support of our students.  Every little bit counts and all sales are greatly appreciated!  Prizes may be selected up to the total dollar amount sold, so students can choose 1 prize or multiple prizes depending on the dollar amount sold.

STUDENT BONUS:  All students who sell 5 items or more will be entered into a Miss Chocolate Company drawing for an Apple iPad mini.

CLASS GOAL AWARD: Classes that have 100% participation will win $1,000 in prizes from the prize program.

TOP SELLER: Wins one prize from the (H-$500) level in the prize program.

RAFFLE: Sell 5 items and be entered into a raffle drawing to win:

– $125 in prize points from the prize flyer (2 winners will be chosen at random)

– $25 in products (2 winners will be chosen)

NEW AT MISS CHOCOLATE: Brochure order customers can now pay by credit card, debit card, or PayPal by visting and entering the organization ID# 100287 when prompted (note: a $1 service fee will be applied).  Please enter the authorization code provided in the column on the 3-part order form at the end of your transaction.

Customers can also shop at or browse the catalog HERE. Click “Online Store” to get started!  Use our school ID# 100287 when setting up your student’s Seller ID so that your student and the school receive credit for the sale.

All money raised must be submitted no later than Tuesday, October 31st, when the fundraiser ends.  Until then, we hope that you encourage family and friends to have fun shopping for holiday gift wrapping paper, chocolate and cookie treats, magazines, kitchen and houseware items and much more, all in support of our school!

Fall 2017 Membership Drive – Donate to the PA Now to Support Your Kids

The PS 139 Parent Association (PA) helps our children by funding important programs outside the school’s budget. Please join us in supporting this work by making your annual donation to the PA by September 18th!


The Parent Association funds amazing school programs, after-school clubs, and events, and provides teachers and students with essential classroom supplies. You even get to decide what we fund, through participatory budgeting. Last year, parents and students voted to fund new play equipment, a butterfly garden, musical instruments, laptops, dual language materials, and a clean up club!

Your contribution will help fund programs and events like these. If each family donates $25, we’ll raise over $25,000. If you can donate more or ask other family members to donate, even better!
PS 139 is a special place. A place where people from different backgrounds eat together, play together, and learn together. PS 139 provides an outstanding education to nearly 1,000 children representing over 20 languages and cultures. A tax-deductible donation to PS 139 is an investment in our children, neighbors, and community.
